Warmly Welcome
We are pleased to welcome you in our beautiful family-run houses. In 1982 the “Pension zur Weinlaube” was opened and since then, it has been constantly expanded and adapted to the wishes and needs of our guests. 2007 the “Villa Toskana” with its Mediterranean ambience was added.
Our houses offer 46 beds in 22 individually designed rooms. Feel at home and relax in a quiet atmosphere, surrounded by vineyards. A glass of wine in the garden will allow you to end the day in a relaxed atmosphere. Both houses have a cozy guest room where chilled drinks are available for self-service.
Our rich breakfast and the reception are located in the main house. Our main house, the Pension zur Weinlaube, is located directly opposite the Villa Toskana.

Region
At the Südliche Weinstraße there is a lot of sun, wine and fun to have. Whether you visit one of the rustic wine bars or dine in excellent restaurants, Südliche Weinstraße has a lot to offer. Hospitality is upheld here. You can visit one of the joyful wine festivals or take part in the culture and leisure activities. The landscape is divers: it offers everything from vineyards to green meadows and little creeks, from the splendid Palatinate Forrest to castles and picturesque villages. The region can be discovered by bike or by foot. There’s a lot of possibilities to make memories that you won’t forget once your holiday is over.

The fortress town with its 43,000 inhabitants is an inviting place. The idyllic pedestrian area and the many cafes make it easy to stop and linger. The Landau Zoo is not only popular with kids. It is one of the exceptional attractions of the Palatinate with about 550 animals of 100 mostly exotic races. You can also visit Germany’s largest reptile zoo where you can see 700 exotic reptiles from up close in their large landscape-like terrariums. And on bad weather days you can spend a day at the “LaOla” leisure pool on its great waterslide, in the sauna, or simply swimming.

In the Imperial city you can visit the cathedral and the Historic Museum as well as the Technical Museum. Take a stroll along the river Rhine or enjoy a cool beer in a beer garden directly at the banks of the river.

In the north of Landau is the small city of Neustadt. The city is famous and popular for its market place and the mythical creature “Elwetritsche”. The historic Hambach Castle can be found in the city district Hambach.

Activities
Palatinate offers a well-established network of cycle paths for discovering the landscape by bike or mountain bike. You can choose between long-distance routes, theme routes, and also shorter routes. Most (90%) of the cycle paths are paved and far from the roads. The long-distance route “Deutsche Weinstraße” is 100km long and can be started and ended wherever you like. While cycling, the romantic wine villages are always worth a visit. Restaurants, wine bars, and wineries are perfects spots for a little break.
Only one kilometre away is the 27-hole golf course, with the rating “5-star superior”. We would be happy to reserve a starting time for you. After the strenuous golf, you can stop for a bite to eat in the Spanish restaurant directly at the “Golfclub Landgut Dreihof”. In the winter garden you have the best view of the golf course.
Walk 500 meters to the “Freizeitcenter Bornheim”. Here you will find leisure activities for the whole family: mini golf, bowling, bowling or tennis. After the many impressions you can enjoy good plain fare for young and old inside or outside on the terrace.
The Südpfalz Draisine starts directly in Bornheim and extends along the former railway tracks to Lingenfeld (approx. 13 kilometres). In between you can stop at old railway stations and take a break. Please reserve well in advance.
In Bornheim the white stork has become native again on the initiative of the “PfalzStorch” campaign. Opposite the town hall is the Stork Centre with a permanent exhibition about the White Stork. It also serves as an information, documentation and education centre. In the centre of the village at the sports field you will find the stork barn, a sick and nursing station for storks unfit for the wild.
Every Wednesday (April to July – beginning of the breeding season until the storks’ departure) the “Guided tour of storks, art & wine” takes place. Advance booking is not necessary. Meeting point is always at 16.00 hrs at Inge’s Café am Saubrunnen.
ELTORO EAT
Eating like in Spain and being lovingly pampered, you can do that in the Eltoro Restaurant in Essingen, only one kilometre away from us. Barbecue over an open fire. Enjoy among other things classic steak, Irish flapsteak or US sirlion steak! Each steak is prepared with a mixture of spices and flavors before grilling. So you are guaranteed delicious enjoyment with Spanish charisma! In addition to indulging your taste buds, you can also enjoy the view from the golf course.

GUESTHOUSE TEACHER LAMP
Only 300 meters walking distance from us, directly in the centre of Bornheim, you can enjoy delicious food and selected wines in the inn “Lehrer Lämpel”. A reservation in advance is recommended.
